Night of Action

February 10, 2017 @ 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
The Unitarian Church in Westport
10 Lyons Plains Rd
Westport, CT 06880

We’ve heard from many of our supporters, “how can I make a difference?” The answer: tell your legislators how you feel about gun safety laws.

We’re gathering on Friday evening, February 10 at the Unitarian Church in Westport for a CAGV Action Night to do just that.

Please join us to get an update on the legislative outlook from members of Congress and state legislators, and then get to work writing our elected officials about two important gun bills, one in Congress and one in the state legislature.

We have two important actions: write our Congressional delegation showing our support for their opposition to federally mandated concealed carry reciprocity and write state legislators to support HB 6200, the bill to let law enforcement ask to see the permit of a gun owner carrying in public without the need to have “reasonable suspicion” of a crime.

These actions work! One of President Trump’s cabinet nominees is at risk because an outpouring of calls changed a Senator’s vote.
